But instead of a religious career, I became a rock star. For seven years I worked hard in the music industry. Touring all over Canada and the US living the rock star dream. I met inspiring salt-of-the-Earth people and played in some very unique and beautiful settings.
It was a thrilling pursuit but, I wasnt totally happy. After meeting the love of my life on tour however, I found myself with kids and a new purpose in life.

I realized that I was not doing the world enough good to justify the tremendous lifestyle sacrifice the music industry requires. So I concluded that the opportunity to spend time with loved ones is worth SO much more than what I was currently doing.
That is when wedding and family photography discovered me. I say it discovered me because I was taking pictures for a very long time before anybody paid me to take a picture. I actually picked up a camera in college for extra credit during my music degree. I totally fell in love with it, and I have had a camera by my side ever since. But when I had my first child, I started taking WAY more pictures than I ever had before. And of course with the invention of Facebook and the Internet, I was able to share those pictures with family and friends. This is when people I did not know started asking me to take their wedding or family photos. It was a medium that felt very natural for me, spending time with friends and families on their special occasions. I really felt at home. Plus, I absolutely loved the idea of building an uplifting business doing something I believed in.
Today I've been blessed to photograph weddings in Canada the USA and Mexico. Wherever you are, I will come and create photographs that make you feel good about your life and the people in it.

Ever since I got the first roll of film developed from that camera (which I had to send to Nevada to get developed), I’ve looked at the world a little differently. I’m always trying to find the unique angle, the interesting backdrop. I strive to create images that are engaging and compelling, no matter what I have in front of my lens. I love beachy woodsy rustic weddings...weddings with a connection to nature in some respect. Brides who aren't afraid to get out there and step off the pavement a little are my fave! I do love weddings in general though...even the ones that aren't outdoors, and even the brides that are totally set on keeping their dresses spotless.
I love the smiles, the nervous energy, the decor, be it minimal or elaborate. The creative and touching speeches, the amazing cakes. I love the elegant dresses, the delicious food, the venues, the crazy dancing. All of it! And above all, I love capturing it in a way that allows you to relive your day over and over again.
